Overview
Since 1923, people have enjoyed living on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The city of Palos Verdes Estates is a master planned community of about 13,000, located on 3200 acres along the Pacific shore. The town has miles of beach, nearly half of which are preserved for common use. Parks and greenways are scattered throughout the township, giving it a feeling of space and nature. Walking, biking and equestrian paths wander past the beautiful homes and along the bluffs above the sea.
Life on the Sunlit Coast
The town’s schools rank consistently in the top fifty in the US and in the top ten in California. This is very much a family oriented town, although about a quarter of the residents are retirees. With a short commute to Los Angeles and surrounded by other beach towns, shopping and night life are limited in Palo Verdes Estates. The restaurants in town, many of which specialize in seafood, are good to excellent. And there are several shopping malls in the city or nearby.
