Yorba Linda

Yorba Linda

Overview

Nestled into the valleys of the Chino Hills, Yorba Linda soaks up sunshine in the mild Mediterranean-like climate. Now a town of 68,000, originally the land was part of a huge Spanish land grant given to Jose Antonio Yorba in 1834. In the early 1900s, the area was covered with lemon and orange groves. Richard M. Nixon, the 37th President of the United States, was born there in 1913 and his Presidential Museum and Library is located there.

Southern California Living at Its Best

The city has prospered over the years and, since 2005, has repeatedly been listed among the best places to live in the US. It is 37 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The schools are good and the town is nice community. It has a friendly, small-town flavor with multiple parks and walking, biking and equestrian trails throughout. The town is bordered on the north by Chino Hills State Park, 14,000 acres of wilderness and trails for hiking biking, and any other outdoor activity you can think of.

Good restaurants abound, especially Mexican and sushi. Enchanting shopping malls are scattered throughout. Entertainment for kids is easy. Box Canyon Park has a wonderful castle and a pirate ship. Adults can have fun, too.

This is a great place to live. Yorba Linda just feels like home.
