Inglewood

Inglewood

Overview

Inglewood was incorporated in 1908. It grew slowly over the first few decades. Once a horse racing town, the racetrack was closed in 2013. The area is being rebuilt as a stadium. The SoFi Stadium will be home to the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers. In 2022, the Super Bowl will be played in SoFi Stadium. The stadium will be the site of the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. Soccer meets will be held at the stadium as well as archery and gymnastics.

A City of Champions

Last summer the Los Angeles Clippers announced that they were building a basketball arena and entertainment center in Inglewood. In addition, the owner of the Clippers will be investing $100 million into Inglewood for affordable housing and for schools and youth.
Inglewood is a hot sports town. Three professional sports teams in one small location! Plus the Olympics! This is an exciting town. Come and be part of it.
