Larchmont is a small neighborhood just south of Hollywood, California and is notable for its quaint shopping street and well-kept historic homes. Let’s take a look at some of those well-kept and maybe some questionably-kept Larchmont Village homes that are currently on the market for sale.
128 N Ridgewood Pl. 90004 – $2,199,000
It’s a spacious 3 bed, 2 bath, if just a little dated in some areas. But you get a pool that does wind up taking up most of the backyard, but beggars can’t be choosers, it’s a private pool! And it’s not too far from Larchmont.
513 N Plymouth Blvd. 90004 – $2,320,000
513 N Plymouth is a nice, newly remodeled 4 bed, 3.5 bath just a couple of blocks away from Larchmont. There are a few dead giveaways that this is a recent remodel, but the tee-pee in the corner of the staged children’s room really seals the deal.
263 S Wilton Pl. 90004 – $2,490,000
Here’s a really charming California bungalow with 5 beds, 3.5 baths in a 4,000 sq.ft. recent remodel, located a handful of blocks away from the south side of Larchmont Blvd. Turns out 4,000 sq.ft. really is quite spacious – even the stagers seemed to give up once they got to the 5th bedroom! The yard looks to have space for a pool or other water feature to really give it that final touch.
243 N Norton Ave. 90004 – $2,050,000
What a pretty Spanish-style home from 1926, we thought, until we saw that terrible wallpapered dining room! But then we found out that the home was formerly owned by World War 2 war hero, Julian “Bud” Rice, who flew more than 700 missions during the war, including launching paratroopers on the D-Day invasion – so now we feel bad for judging his decor choices. Weird wallpapered rooms aside, it’s a largely untouched classic and could easily shine again.
